Brigitte Bouchard: The publishing house was founded in 2001. The name Allusifs refers to the genre that the house is putting forward.
Why was this house?
I founded my publishing house by a little frustration ... and a lot of momentum. I was tired of the ghettos of the literature in Quebec, where publishers publish primarily Canadian. I had this intense desire to bring the rest of Quebec and Quebec elsewhere. When I got the idea to highlight the short novels and immediately open to world literature, everything fell into place naturally. These two intertwined lines made sense.
